The Arizona Supreme Court recently issued an updated, 68-page guide for parents about to embark on the turbulent process of divorce. While arguably more useful for parents who will undertake this process without the help of legal counsel, it may actually be quite helpful to provide new clients with this guide at the inception of the dissolution process. It is full of informative and useful information on designing a parenting plan, describes the needs and issues of children based on their age group and gives readers a handy guide to the mechanics of the dissolution process. This information, in particular, may assist family law attorneys in having educated and prepared clients who will better know what to expect of the divorce process, not to mention what to expect of their attorney as it unfolds.
